Behavioral Health System Navigation Resources
The ESDs provide increased access to behavioral health services and supports for students and families in their regions.
Behavioral Health Navigators
Through HB 1216 each ESD employs a Behavioral Health Navigator who supports increased access to behavioral health services and supports for students and families by:
- assisting in coordination and integration of services
- facilitating partnerships across multiple systems of behavioral healthcare services and supports for children and families
- providing training and technical assistance to schools, including support with suicide prevention and intervention services
Behavioral Health Navigator Playbook
The purpose of this playbook is to provide a roadmap for an ESD Behavioral Health System Navigator to engage in regional K–12 and healthcare partnerships through relationships and collaboration activities that will ultimately increase access to care.
