The BlendEd Learning and Leadership Symposium was a highly successful event held on April 17 that brought national and local educational leaders together in a special symposium to explore how to close the opportunity gap through blended and personalized learning. With support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and from partner Pacific Lutheran University, 200 participants participated in discussions informed by panels and presentations. Our speakers included national leaders such as Tom Vander Ark of Getting Smart and Milton Chen of the George Lucas Educational Foundation, and our panels included teachers, principals, and students participating in our BlendEd grant from Highline, Bethel, and Franklin Pierce. If you were unable to join us, you can view the presentation files and a collection of helpful blended learning resources at http://tinyurl.com/blendedls2014.
