Mr. Williams replaces Rex Comstock, representing District 5 (North Thurston A) and Dr. McDaniel replaces Diana Goldy, representing District 3 (Elma, Grapeview, Hood Canal, Mary M. Knight, McCleary, Montesano, Pioneer, Satsop, Shelton, and Southside). We are thankful for Mr. Comstock and Ms. Goldy’s years of service and look forward to working with our new members.
Mr. Williams is now retired but spent his career as a senior assistant attorney general for the State of Washington. He even argued two cases before the United State Supreme Court. He has also served as the executive director of the Washington State PTA and as a board member of Washington State Principals’ Education Foundation and North Thurston Education Foundation.
Dr. McDaniel has spent 45 years in public education as a teacher, principal, district superintendent and school board member. He has been employed by large and small districts across Washington. His doctoral degree specialized in at-risk students and programs that reduced truancy to increase graduation rates.
