Theme: Connect, Learn, & Lead Change
Vision: To build strong connections among Prenatal to 3rd Grade educators and leaders as we work to eliminate the opportunity gap in the state of Washington
415 P-3 Educators from across the state attended the 2017 Starting Strong Institute in Spokane on August 7-9. The conference theme was Connect, Learn & Lead Change. Participants were welcomed by Gene Sharratt’s inspiration opening keynote, and engaged in a variety of learning from early learning practitioners, state leaders and early math enthusiast, Douglas Clements. AESD was proud to lead the conference planning in partnership with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Boeing, Child Care Aware of Washington, Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, THRIVE Washington, University of Washington, Washington State Department of Early Learning, Washington State Department of Health and the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services.
