NEWESD 101 has entered phase two of building expansion project … construction of its new 7,000 conference center. In March, following demolition of a storage building (phase one), Meridian Construction began laying the foundation for the new building adjacent to the existing 5,500-square-foot conference center.
At the time of this writing in early May, crews had completed underground electrical and plumbing work and insulation of the concrete foundation. After the building project is completed this fall, crews will turn to the third and final phase – renovation of the existing conference center.
